Bob Rosencrans
I moved to Moraine 25 years ago. As my children grew older, they attended West Carrollton Schools. They participated in “T” ball, soccer, and scouting, and so did I. My children graduated from West Carrollton High School. My first experience with Moraine’s approach to servicing the residents was a notice that my sidewalks were going to be replaced. I called the City Engineer and told him I had a right to choose my own contractor and was told no, because Moraine provides that service at no charge. That is when I learned about all the free services that Moraine offers to its residents.
I worked with the City Council to get Vance Road reopened. I also became active in Neighborhood Watch and fighting the proposed new landfill (Stoney Hollow). I gradually became civically active. In 1991, I ran for City Council. I continued with the Neighborhood Watch and fighting against Stoney Hollow Landfill. I also worked to get D.A.R.E. program into Moraine Meadows and West Carrollton Schools.
I have enjoyed serving Moraine as a member of City Council and as former Mayor. If anyone has any questions or problems, please feel free to contact me at 263-3756 (home).
